Day of Surgery

Our office has been inspected and licensed by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario to provide a full scope of anesthesia services which includes local anesthesia, moderate/deep sedation and general anesthesia. Dr. McCann and/or Registered Nurses will be at your side from the moment you arrive in the operating room until you leave the office.

Questions About Day of Surgery

What should I expect on the day of oral surgery?

Patients should arrive as instructed, follow fasting or medication guidance if sedation is planned, and bring a responsible adult escort when required.

Can I drive after oral surgery?

Patients who receive sedation or anesthesia must not drive after the appointment. A responsible adult should take the patient home and remain available as instructed.

What happens before surgery begins?

The team reviews health updates, consent, the treatment plan, anesthesia details, and any final questions before the procedure starts.
